The stakeholder typology and classification is a model that helps us to identify the different types of stakeholders in an organization. They are divided into four types: power, legitimacy, urgency and compliance. The power stakeholders are those who hold the highest positions in the organization. They have direct influence over the company’s resources and decision-making process. This type of stakeholder is more likely to exert their influence over other stakeholders as they have more resources at their disposal. The urgency stakeholders are those who have a shorter time frame for achieving their goals or objectives. They often have limited opportunities for success and will be expected to act fast when reacting to changing environments or circumstances. This type of stakeholder has less time for discussion with other stakeholders but will still try to make use of them when possible.
