The marketing mix is a set of six marketing tools that are used to generate the right customer-oriented marketing strategy. The marketing mix is made up of six parts: product, price, place, promotion, place and people. The product is what you sell and what you target your customers with. The price can be determined by the cost of production or the market value of the product. Place refers to where your business is located and how it can reach its target customers. Promotion includes advertising and word-of-mouth campaigns. Place includes where your business operates as well as how it operates in order to reach its target customers. People includes how you market your company internally as well as externally to potential clients or partners.
