The evolution of supply chain management, SCM, has been a major development in the field of business. The supply chain management practices have evolved from 1960 to now and the following are some of the major developments in this field. This led to the birth of SCM practices which had its roots in manufacturing industries but soon started being adopted by other industries as well.
